Shusha provided optical telecommunications services

Businesses and residential buildings in the Azerbaijani city of Shusha have been provided with optical telecommunications services by Aztelecom LLC, which is under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

A bakery, which is the city’s first manufacturing plant, has already been connected to these services.

Currently, residents and guests of Shusha Town can access high speed internet services at a speed of 30Mbps.

It was noted that the modern telecommunications infrastructure in the liberated city of Shusha is built on the basis of GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) technology.

The optical network with a capacity of 1000 numbers, built to modern standards by Azetelecom, guarantees high-speed data transmission and a stable Internet connection.

Aztelecom LLC will continue to take the necessary steps to provide sustainable and uninterrupted telecommunications services as part of the restoration and reconstruction works in the city of Shusha.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport will gradually and systematically introduce all new generation telecommunications technologies in the liberated territories in accordance with the country’s digital transformation policy.

Earlier, it was reported that the heat supply system of the liberated city of Shusha in Azerbaijan is ready for winter.

Currently, work is underway to restore the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan will proceed with the reconstruction of its recently liberated territories in four stages. The initial stage includes solving the problems of governance and security, infrastructure, while the following stages include solving the problems of social service activities, reconstruction and development of the economy.

President Ilham Aliyev said in one of his interviews that a new housing complex for 25 houses will be built within a year, a year and a half at most, and it will already be possible to send people back to Shusha.

As of December 31, 2020, television and radio broadcasts were re-established in the towns of Shusha and Khankandi, in the regions of Khojali (Khojaly), Aghdam and Barda, as well as in the surrounding settlements.

Stores, bakeries, dental offices are already operating there. In addition, ATMs from different banks have been installed. In early May, President Aliyev laid the foundation stone for a new mosque and school in Shusha and also inaugurated the 110/35/10 kV Shusha substation, the recently renovated Khari Bulbul hotel, as well as ‘a building of 48 apartments and the cottages under the Hotel.

Azerbaijan has allocated $ 1.5 billion for the reconstruction of the liberated territories in 2021. These funds will be used in particular to restore infrastructure (electricity, gas, water, communications, roads, education, health, etc.), as well as cultural and historical. the monuments.
